With over 125 lawyers, 300 students and 500 NGOs having participated in previous programs, our camps have successfully fostered concerned citizens into responsible and aware activists. Eminent jurists, scientists, professors, conservationists, government officials etc. from India and beyond have over the years equipped our participants with the requisite knowledge to stand up for the cause of environmental conservation.

Through this program, we at MCMEF want to provide students pursuing various courses, teachers, professors, NGO professionals etc. with the opportunity to learn from the experience and vision of experts in the field and understand their significant role in protecting the future of our environment. Through lectures, field trips, visual presentations, discussions etc. we aim to help students internalize the spirit to stand up for our planet by understanding its problems and arriving at possible solutions. If you feel that this program will be beneficial to your students/faculty/staff, we request you to make them aware about this program through circulars and/or by displaying the program details and registration form in the notice board or via any other medium you may consider suitable.

Please find attached a Pamphlet containing all details about the program. In case of any further queries, please feel free to call on 011-41756519 or 09999024687. You may also write to us at [email protected].

A Call to Save the Ganga and Himlayas

The Government must take immediate steps towards preserving this magnificent river including:
permanently ceasing any hydroelectric damming of the river upstream;
declaring the upper reaches of the Ganga to be a “no development zone” in light of its ecological fragility and heritage significance;
proactively cleaning up the river downstream, and prosecuting all unlawful industrial and domestic polluters;
banning polythene at all sites of spiritual pilgrimage and prohibiting vehicles from travelling to sensitive places of pilgrimage further upstream; and
prohibiting environmentally unsound development along the banks of the river to protect the river and maintain its natural flow.
